What started out in high school as a name for her memoirs as a first generation Cuban ended up as a popular label draping on the ears, arms and necks of Vanessa & Angela Simmons, MIA, Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks, Rihanna and other stylish celebs. Besides wowing the pages of many magazines from Essence and Urban Latino to XXL and Vibe Vixen (RIP, one hell of a magazine) Annie doesn’t take any of this fame to the head. “I’m a normal woman just like my customers, I like the simple things in life too. As long as I have my tools and jewelry I can sell Cubannie anywhere … ladies love it,” laughs Annie.
