Jay-Z and Beyonce have purchased a 15,000 square feet home that sits on 2 acres in Scarsdael, N.Y. The gine us the couples first home purchased as husband and wife. Scarsdale is a northern suburb of New York City with a population of about 18,000.

The modern colonial property has been under construction for about six months. The home that was there before was torn down.

The newlyweds got their marriage license in Scarsdale in a private ceremony at a chapel in Scarsdale Village in Westchester County on April 4th, before holding a reception at the rapper’s luxury penthouse apartment in the TriBeCa area of New York City.
