We live through each other! The love and sincere admissions expressed in Whitney Houston’s interview attests to the energy of this truth. The people that were there for Whitney, her mother’s intervention and the fans that made her number one again lived through Whitney Elizabeth Houston during an open conversation with Oprah. Within this interview she embraced her family, friends, fans (including Oprah) and the woman in the grocery store that remembered her, her gift, and her voice. Whitney obviously must have felt a connection with the woman in the grocery store for her to remember her telling her child that she grew up listening to Whitney. The ups and downs acknowledged in being lost and yearning to make the best of a bad situation allowed fans to reconnect with the person behind the voice.
In this interview Whitney, the “Body Guard” icon, became a mortal human being that finally admitted the truth to her mistakes and vices. As she unleashed the burdens of her heart, this soulful diva represented a mother, daughter, niece, sister and a woman in love who forgot who she was during the joys and pains of maintaining her marital vows. The only way out is through! Feeling the need to downplay the success of your gift to keep peace within your heart and home? Who does that? Where does this take place? Love is supposed to nourish and make you a better person, but the consequences of malnourishment in an unhealthy relationship leaves you trapped and lost. Remember who you are and who you are not…especially during your hardships.
We remember who Whitney was! She took us on the journey of who was forgotten and finally through it all she has the insight that she has always been loved by so many caring people. She let us see who she is now at this point in her life. The enlightened rejuvenation of a motivated Whitney should inspire and please everyone that was wondering about the truth, the fans that were sincerely concerned for her, music lovers that missed hearing her voice and anyone that can use her story as reason to rediscover who they are! Can you hear Whitney Houston telling you that “The Greatest Love of All” is happening inside of her? This interview was like a prelude after intermission before the final act.
