West said of his new musical inspiration:

Everyone says all great art comes from pain but I think my greatest art comes from excitement and joy. It’s a completely different perspective about being extremely excited about stuff that is only cool to me. Like, when I tweeted, ‘What’s your credenza game?’ I was very excited about that credenza.

It was important to not be limited by the art form of rap but to have rap bring it to another level. Is it rap or is it poetry? Is it spoken word? Is it [a] speech?

Producer Lex Luger spoke on how the song track came together in an interview:

Spiff of SpiffTV reached out to me for the “Hard In The Paint” instrumental because Ross wanted that. Spiff directed the “O Let’s Do It Remix” video out in Atlanta’s Grand Central Station spot. People were bumping “Hard In The Paint” in a car and he was like, “What song is that?” This is before “Hard In The Paint” even blew up. It was just the streets was fucking with it. So he was like, “Who the hell did that?” So he got on the computer and searched, “Who produced this song.” He found me on MySpace and Twitter and hit me like, “I need some of this music.” And I told him, “I got it, but I got other stuff that’s way better.” I was sending Spiff 30 beats a day for seven days. I sent him a gang of beats and out of those beats was “B.M.F.” and “MC Hammer.”

Because I make so many beats, sometimes they’ll have names, but sometimes they’ll just be like 1-50. This batch of beats was just numbers. Spiff told me, “That beat 13, put that aside. Don’t give it to nobody.” And I did the same thing with “MC Hammer.” He said, “That beat, put it aside.”

Actually, I heard “B.M.F.” way after it came out. For real, I was working and I ain’t want to be bothered with no Internet, no TV, nothing. People was telling me about the song, but I didn’t hear it. But I heard it a week later. It blew my mind. Then, everybody started hitting me up on Twitter, that’s when I realized. They were saying it was a banger. I knew it was hot but I ain’t know the radio was ready for it because it’s a hard record, just like “Hard In The Paint.” But that’s what people want now.

Ricky’s latest album, Teflon Don, will be in stores on July 20th.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport received a bump in horsepower taking it from 1,001-hp to 1,200-hp with a maximum torque of 1,106 lb-ft. Top speed for the production models will be electronically limited to 259 mph to protect the tires.

Bugatti says that the first five Super Sports produced will be a special series with the same configuration as the landspeed record car that was piloted by Bugatti’s official test-driver, Pierre Henri Raphanel.

Raphanel returned two runs – one at 265.3 mph and one at 269.6 mph. The folks at TUV and Guinness took the average of both times, which came in at 268 mph.

Ross said on about the track:

“I feel like it’s one of the best records I’ve been a part of in my career. Kanye produced it and we collaborated on it. It’s a phenomenal record. I’m just extremely excited.”

The album will be released in conjunction with promotional events and  appearances with Remy Martin thanks to his new endorsement deal with cognac powerhouse that will build on the success of their ‘Things are Getting Interesting’ marketing campaign.

The Symbolyc One (S1) produced track features Dwele vocals and an Ozzy Osbourne 21st Century Schizoid Man sample.

The track should be available on ITunes on June 8th according

Dr. PHIL-lips also weighed in on Kanye’s return..

The track is set to be on Drake’s upcoming debut album, Thank Me Later which is in stores June 15th.

The track will be on his upcoming album King Uncaged(Aug. 17th), F*ck A Mixtape (May 25th) and Takers hits theaters August 20th.

Def Jam enlisted the services of F. Gary Gray (Set It Off, Friday, The Italian Job) to direct the video which also features Ne-Yo on the hook.

The Teddy Riley-produced track features a collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Colombian bombshell Manuela Arbeláez is the object of Robin’s desire.

Wheelsandmore’s impressive tuning package for the Bentley Continental Supersports offers an ecu upgrade, combined with a handmade, stainless steel exhaust system, special sportcatalysts, and within a remote controlled valve flap system, Supersports’ power has been increased from the original 630hp to 702hp and now the car produces 650 lb-ft of torque.

The long-awaited collaboration with Kanye West finally hit the Internet early Thursday morning through the Toronto MC’s web site although it has since been taken down due to bandwidth issues.

Drake filmed the video for “Find Your Love” a few weeks ago in Jamaica and will debut in a few weeks. Thank Me Later is due June 15.

Thank Me Later is scheduled for a June 15th release date.

The single is said to be from his new upcoming seventh studio album which is tenatively scheduled for an August release date.

After serving 10 months in a federal penitentiary, T.I. is scheduled to be released from a halfway house on March 26.

Boi-1da produced the track as well as “Best I Ever Had” and “Forever”. Thank Me Later is due out in May.

Nike combined forces with Aston Martin for the uber special edition sneaker which is a must have for any collector of Hyperdunks or Kobe Bryant fan.

The limited edition sneakers feature premium leather make in titanium-silver and inside lined with orange-red perforated leather to complement DB9 Convertible featured in the ad. Kobe’s signature can be seen imprinted on teh inside of the tongue and his name’s on the outside of tongue along with the Aston Martin and Nike logos.

This shoe is limited to 500 pieces and will not be hitting stores until the spring.

While “Pretty Wings” is the Maxwell song/video that got all the pub and Grammy nominations, to most of us “Bad Habits” was the song that got us in the most trouble.  I mean this post is based on the song, but did you all see the video? Best video of the year in my book so far.

Maxwell’s lyrics seem to blend in perfectly with the instruments in this song as he talks about his Bad Habit.  While smoking and biting fingernails are considered bad habits, this song speaks to that person in your life who know you shouldn’t be messing with; but you just can’t seem to shake them.  In a former life of mine I seemed to always be attracted to women who had a significant other of some kind.  I will stop there so that I won’t further incriminate myself, LOL.  It wasn’t like I specifically went after these women; it just always wound up being the case.  And I know some of are probably reading this with a “C’mon Son” sign in your hand, but I’m telling the truth so believe me or not.

Everyone has had a bad habit before, and for some reason there is something about that person or situation that you know isn’t right, but yet you still wind up indulging.  I’m not here to tell you that you’re wrong or right for making that decision, because I of all people totally understand.  There’s one particular bad habit that sticks out to me in my past. I knew what I was doing and I knew that what I was doing was wrong.

VERY WRONG!

But unlike most of you I knew what I was getting myself into. I knew what the situation was and that it would not last for too long.  Most of the time when people indulge in things they shouldn’t they forget to game plan for it.  They get too caught up in the moment and forget to take a minute to step back and analyze the situation.  This is key because once you get “lost in the sauce” all hell can break loose and that’s when the ugly break-ups, fights, alimony, and divorce papers get drawn up.

Did I just say that? OOPS!! (lol)

So in parting, I’m not here to judge anyone on their adult decisions.  I just ask that you know what you’re getting yourself into no matter the situation.  Set some personal guidelines and boundaries for what you won’t and will do.  And as always think with the head that’s between your shoulders, that’s for the ladies just as much for the fellas.

In the sport of long track speed skating, racers have to switch lanes after each backstretch.  But on the 17^th lap of the race, Kramer took the advice of his coach and skated the duration of the race in the wrong lane.

Ouch.

“It is pretty hard now, I was on my way to make the right decision and right before the corner I changed my decision because of the advice from the (coach). At the end of the day, it is my responsibility. I am the skater on the ice, I have to do it”.

Because of the bad advice and blunder South Korea’s Lee Seung-hoon won the gold medal even though his time was 4 seconds slower than Kramer’s.  But because of the disqualification Kramer’s performance will never be recorded.  Seung-hoon never expected to win gold in the event, but will take it nonetheless; “I expected to be on the podium but not for the gold.  I could not have realized that this would have happened. I trained and prepared long for this. Sven Kramer is a great skater”.

Ivan Skobrev from Russia took home the silver, while Dutchman Bob de Jong wound up with bronze.

Kanye West does not appear in the video which according to MTV is based on Kanye’s past relationship with his former fiancee’ Alexis Pfeifer and his late mother.
